Alabama set to execute cop killer despite U.S. high court concerns

(Reuters) - A 65-year-old man convicted of murdering a police officer in 1985 is set to be executed in Alabama on Thursday even as the U.S. Supreme Court has ordered a judicial review of whether the state's death penalty sentencing procedures violate the Constitution.
