Ex-Guinean mines minister accused by U.S. of laundering bribes

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. prosecutors on Tuesday charged a former minister of mines in Guinea with engaging in a scheme to launder bribe payments he accepted in exchange for using his position to facilitate awarding a Chinese conglomerate valuable investment rights.
