Texas Senate committee approves 'bathroom bill'

AUSTIN, Texas (Reuters) - A Texas Senate committee on Wednesday approved a bill that would restrict access to public bathrooms for transgender people after hundreds of people lined up to testify on legislation that critics said promotes discrimination.
