Los Angeles throws down gauntlet to Paris in 2024 hosting battle

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Los Angeles 2024 made a final pitch to the International Olympic Committee's Evaluation Commission on Friday and now will wait and see if they hit a home run to win the right to host the Summer Games for a third time.
