Among U.S. governor races, North Carolina contest still tight
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (Reuters) - North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory held a narrow lead over his Democratic challenger late on Tuesday, as Republicans looked to extend their majority of U.S. gubernatorial offices with voters in 12 states picking their chief executives.
