U.S. lawmaker wounded in shooting undergoes surgery for infection: hospital

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Representative Steve Scalise, who was shot and wounded during a baseball practice last month, has undergone surgery to treat an infection and he remains in serious condition, the hospital said on Thursday.
